Each Micro Clover Flawn Seed Kit includes Micro Dutch White Clover, Self-Heal, and Creeping Thyme seed that can be over-seeded into an existing grass lawn or used to establish a new Flawn by adding grass seed (not included). See below for more details.

Micro Clover grows at about 1/4 the size of Dutch White Clover and flowers less so it is a great option if you prefer keep your lawn shorter at 3-3.5" It still fixes nitrogen into the soil which reduces your fertilizer needs. It also reduces watering needs and reduces mowing needs. Excellent choice for parents and pet owners who are worried about bee stings from other flowering lawn plants that attract more pollinators than micro clover.

Enhance your existing grass lawn by adding flowering plants reduce maintenance
and attract pollinators. Reduce your mowing, watering and fertilizer
needs while helping to save the planet by creating pollinator habitat. A healthy Flawn also captures more carbon than a grass lawn and purifies rainwater and runoff of toxins before it enters our groundwater system or lakes, rivers and streams.

Includes one handmade metal Flawn Seed Kit "Flowering Lawn" sign. Additional metal signs are available to be purchased for $29.99 each.

How to seed your Flawn:
Step 1: Mow your lawn short (1-2") usually it's your mowers lowest setting and go over it a couple times to chop up and distribute the clippings. You want to be able to see the soil before you seed.
Step 2: Spread your Flawn seed varieties individually by hand shaking a little at a time over your entire lawn.
Step 3: Water the lawn to soak the soil but not create any standing water or runoff that would wash the seed away.

Clover is quickest germinating and should be small but visible in a few weeks, Self-Heal and Creeping Thyme should be visible in a month or two. It is very important to continue to mow throughout the first season at 3.5-4" to allow all varieties to grow into the grass. If dormant or spring seeded, clover will flower in the first season. Complete transformation may take up to 2-3 years when all three varieties will flower together.

Maintaining a Flawn:
- Mow at 3.5-4" for the first 1-2 years. Once all varieties are established it is up to you how you keep your Flawn. Mowing higher and less often will promote more flowers and have a more wild look. Mowing shorter and more often will have a more conventional lawn look with little to no flowers.
- Do not use pesticide weed or insect killers. Hand weed if necessary or desired.
- White clover fixes atmospheric nitrogen into the ground so fertilizer needs are minimal if at all once established. Applying an organic starter fertilizer
is recommended especially if seeding grass seed in addition to the Flawn Seed Kit.

If you are seeding a new lawn or renovating a bare soil area we recommend using a blend of fine fescues seed at 4 lbs/1,000 sq. ft.
